While speaking to UpOnlyTV, the founder of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin, spoke about the many challenges that affect his project currently and its use cases. He also took that opportunity to guess the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto.
Previously, Buterin commented on the importance of anonymity and privacy. Based on the ETH founder, Satoshi’s disappearance was the second best thing that he did with the first one being the development of Bitcoin.

The other big names like Peter Thiel and Elon Musk follow the same line of thought as Vitalik. Both of them believe that Satoshi is somebody that is well known in the community for his past work.
Buterin Quotes Hal Finney
Vitalik Buterin’s guesses about Satoshi Nakamoto’s identity began with a joke where he had to select a candidate from four options.
The first person to be featured was Charles Hoskinson (Creator of Cardano), Craig Wright (Faketoshi), Elon Musk (CEO of Tesla), and an anonymous blueberry. Vitalik went for the mysterious personality and denied that Craig Wright is the creator of Bitcoin. Nonetheless, he alleges to be a BTC creator and already was sued for that insistence.
When he was asked more openly about the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, Buterin never hesitated to quote Hal Finney, who was the first person to receive a Bitcoin transaction.
“I feel like if I had to name one person, I would say Hal Finney.”
Based on a statement on Wikipedia:
Buy Crypto Now“Harold Thomas Finney II (May 4, 1956 – August 28, 2014) was an American developer for PGP Corporation and was the second developer hired after Phil Zimmermann. He was credited as the lead developer on several console games in his early career. He also was an early bitcoin contributor and received the first bitcoin transaction from bitcoin’s creator Satoshi Nakamoto.”
Apart from Vitalik Buterin, the other big names like Peter Thiel, the co-founder of PayPal, think that the Bitcoin creator is someone who is connected to past projects. Thiel also said that he might be met Satoshi on a beach in the 2000s.
The founder of Tesla, Elon Musk, apart from saying that he is not Satoshi, said that the most likely name for that tricky and mysterious Question is Nick Szabo who is famous for the creation of Bit gold.
Eventually, Nick Szabo with Bit gold and Hal Finney, with Reusable Proof-of-Work are the strong candidates who might be Satoshi Nakamoto. Despite all that, there are many other candidates, including Wei Dai, the creator of B-money.
It appears like the mystery of Satoshi Nakamoto’s identity will be present forever. At least he has proved that it is possible to remain anonymous even while creating one of the biggest innovative technologies of the modern day.
