At the Ripe Age of 60!

Sixty years ago today (July 30, 1959), I was born in Hangzhou, China. After realizing my American dream a few years ago (My American Dream Has Come True!), I have been trying to answer a higher calling: Saving America, Chinese Style, with my pen!

Since I published on the same subject in 2014 (At the Ripe Age of 55!), this post will simply highlight some major developments in my life over the past five years.

Let me elaborate on each …

1. I continue to write and publish

In November 2016, I published my third book: American Democracy – Why is it failing & how to fix it?

Below are three major publications since then:

2. I started dancing competitively in 2015

3. I became a grandfather in 2018!

4. Discussion

The 20th century was clearly America’s. The 21st century will belong to either China or America. But who will have it and who is more deserving? China, unless America reforms its failing political system, as I have suggested (American Democracy – Why is it failing & how to fix it?).

As a Chinese-American, I am caught between a rock and a hard place. On one hand, I wish China, my native country, well – She suffered too much over the past 200 years. On the other hand, I wish America, my adopted country, well – She must stop her precipitous decline, if she ever hopes to restore her status as the shining city upon a hill. Life is good – I have been thoroughly enjoying it over the past five years!

Life is short – I am determined to make the best out of it! Is there anything better and more challenging than Saving America, Chinese Style, with my pen?
