Of all the post-WWII American Presidents, JFK is perhaps the most misunderstood. For example, many Americans still consider him a great President, despite mounting evidence suggesting otherwise (Detroit, Public-Sector Unions, and JFK)! Why? Three likely reasons (below).
- His assassination: His sudden and tragic death has left an enduring mark on the minds of many Americans, who have been romanticizing JFK ever since.
- Politicians: In an advanced democracy like ours, telling the truth can often be political suicide for anyone seeking public office (Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton). What about those already in office? They are constantly in “campaign mode”, in the never ending attempt to fulfill their top priority: “getting re-elected ad nauseam“!
- A complicit media: Brainwashing (Brainwashing in Communism and in Democracy).
In this post, I will briefly assess the Kennedy Presidency, with the clear conclusion that JFK is actually the worst American President since WWII, at least! Follow my reasoning …
1. Who is John F. Kennedy?
Here is an excerpt from Wikipedia – John F. Kennedy:
John Fitzgerald “Jack” Kennedy (May 29, 1917 – November 22, 1963), commonly referred to by his initials JFK, was an American politician who served as the 35th President of the United States from January 1961 until his assassination in November 1963. The Cuban Missile Crisis, The Bay of Pigs Invasion, the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, the establishment of the Peace Corps, developments in the Space Race, the building of the Berlin Wall, the Trade Expansion Act to lower tariffs, and the Civil Rights Movement all took place during Kennedy’s presidency.
2. President Kennedy: the good
Three significant examples:
- He was an inspirational speaker, leaving behind many good speeches with memorable lines (e.g. “ask not” and “landing a man on the Moon”).
- He ably solved the Cuban Missile Crisis.
- He worked diligently to resist the expansion of the MIC (Military-Industrial Complex).
3. President Kennedy: the bad
Three significant examples:
- He appointed his younger brother Robert Kennedy as the Attorney General, which is the epitome of the worst aspects of nepotism in American politics.
- He escalated the war in Vietnam without any benefit for America (vs. his expected re-election in 1964), while planning to end the war once re-elected to the second term.
- He laid the foundation for many ultimately destructive social programs, which were greatly expanded later by his successor President Lyndon Johnson. Inevitably, the Democratic Party soon became the party of new slavery: pay without work (vs. old slavery: work without pay)! For more, read: The Democratic Party is the Party of New Slavery!
Why so bad, especially examples 2 and 3? It’s called “getting re-elected ad nauseam, even if it means destroying America in the long-run”! For more, read: American Presidency: Why is One-Term a Must (Version 3)?
4. President Kennedy: the ugly
By signing Executive Order 10988 on January 17, 1962, President Kennedy allowed public-sector workers to unionize against their employers, the people of the United States of America! This communistic act did help millions of public-sector workers join the ranks of the middle class, at the cost of America’s future though: it ensured a spectacular failure of America down the road, city by city, state by state, as we have been experiencing over the past decade, with no end in sight!
In short, President Kennedy perpetrated much more damage on our country than all other “terrorists”, combined!
Why so ugly? Again, “getting re-elected ad nauseam“, which is the worst form of self-serving at the expense of the country!
5. Discussion
Time is the best judge for greatness or treacherous acts!
Now, 54 years after it was signed, Executive Order 10988 remains in place, although its destructive power should be crystal clear. Yet, most Americans are blithely unaware of it or simply in denial, very unfortunately!
It’s time for America to clearly recognize President Kennedy as the worst American President since WWII, at least!
It’s time to undo Executive Order 10988!
Now, who is more likely to undo Executive Order 10988 as the next American President – Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump? President Trump, of course! For more, read: What Would a Trump Presidency Look Like?
6. Closing
JFK is by far the worst American President after WWII, at least!
Give Donald Trump a chance to make America great again, including undoing Executive Order 10988!
