I am deeply concerned about the 2016 presidential election. In 2013, I published a book entitled “The GOP Bible for 2016”. In September 2015, I spelled out my picks for the best 2016 GOP ticket (The 2016 GOP Ticket: Kasich-Martinez!). As the GOP field is narrowing too slowly, I feel compelled to speak out against Jeb Bush, now!
Jeb, you should immediately drop out of the 2016 race for two main reasons:
- You are not electable!
- The best GOP candidate is, in my opinion, John Kasich. The longer you stay in the race, the more you enable Donald Trump, thus hurting Kasich by diluting the anti-Trump votes, at least!
Let me elaborate on each.
1. You are not electable!
You’ve gained no traction with the voters for one simple reason: you are a Bush! Specifically,
- We are a republic, not a monarchy! Two Bushes so far are already one too many – no more! For more, read: America: Are We Still A Republic?
- While President George H.W. Bush, your father, has been under-appreciated overall, President George W. Bush, your elder brother, should perhaps be charged for war crimes because of the Iraq War. He has permanently damaged not only America, but also the Bush brand! For more, read: What’s The Real Cost of The Iraq War?
Any doubt that former President George W. Bush has been an absolute liability for the GOP? He has yet to be invited to any GOP conventions (2008 and 2012)! In contrast, former President Clinton has been hugely popular within the Democratic Party, at least! For more, read: The Myth of The Bill Clinton Presidency.
2. John Kasich is the best GOP candidate!
John Kasich is better than you for three main reasons:
- As a governor, he is at least as accomplished as you were, except that his experience is more recent and hence more relevant.
- He served in the U.S. Congress for 18 years, with significant accomplishments. In contrast, you have no direct experience at the national level.
- He is not a Bush!
Overall, Kasich offers the GOP the best chance to beat the Democratic candidate, be it Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton! Why? Because he is a moderate (vs. neo-con), thus attracting more independent voters who determine the outcome of the general election!

3. The Iraq War
The Iraq War remains a total disaster not only for the Middle East, but also for America (The Middle East without America?)! It has been widely accepted, both inside and outside America, as the biggest blunder in American foreign policy, ever!
Yet, you seem to have trouble with it: early in your Presidential campaign, it took you five days to finally admit that the Iraq War was a mistake. But recently you seem to be flip-flopping again …
Why is that? Here is the key reason: you can’t separate a private matter from a public one in this case! It’s a key problem with nepotism and you are obviously stuck with it, badly!
Still wondering why America was founded as a republic, not a monarchy? Wonder not!
4. Discussion
How desperate and pathetic are you? In New Hampshire, you even dragged out your 90-year-old mother to campaign for you! While Americans generally like your mother, do you really think Americans appreciate nepotism at the very top?
You mother might have helped you a little bit by gaining some extra percentage points in New Hampshire, but it will not change the final outcome: not yet another Bush!
On the other hand, Kasich’s odds will dramatically improve if you’ll just man up and drop out, the sooner the better! Otherwise, Trump will be the GOP nominee! If Kasich fails, I will vote for Trump for one simple reason: he is the best available, although it’s unlikely he can win the general election!
5. Closing
It’s un-American for you to continue to run as a GOP Presidential candidate, because it’s purely self-serving! It’s un-American for Republicans to elect you as the GOP nominee, because we are a republic, not a monarchy! It’s impossible for you to win the general election, because you are a Bush! So, please do the GOP and America a big favor: drop out, now!
It’s time for America to end the Bush dynasty (as well as not to start a Clinton one)!
It’s time for America to start a new era with John Kasich, who not only is the best candidate for the top job, but also can actually govern as the President.
