The global gambling industry is absolutely huge, worth about $488 billion.
According to H2 Gambling Capital data reported by the Economist, the United States is the world’s largest market for gambling with 2014 losses amounting to $142.6 billion. Despite a corruption crackdown in Macau, Chinese gambling losses still reached $95 billion last year. When it comes to annual losses per person, Australia is in first place with $1,130.
