World Stocks Advance for Week Ending 3/25/2011

stocks-chart1 Econintersect:  All 30 stock indexes followed by GEI advanced last week, ending a 2-3 week pullback.  The biggest advances occurred in Europe and Asia.  The best result in the western hemisphere was Mexico (+3.9%) with a seventh place ranking.  The bottom of the weekly ranking belonged to Malaysia (+0.8%).  Three other indexes had returns less than 2% for the week:  Brazil (+1.3%), New Zealand (+1.5%) and Toronto (+1.8%).  The following tables show returns for all 30 markets, ranked for the week and ranked YTD:
