Far East Markets Up Thursday Morning, Except Tokyo

Econintersect:  Ten of eleven Asia/Pacific stock markets are up in Thursday morning trading (March 24, 2011).  All gains are fractional except for Jakarta (+1.1%).  The next best gains are in Seoul,Singapore, Sydney, Mumbai (Bombay) and Hong Kong, which are all ahead by 0.8%.

Follow up:

Tokyo is down marginally (-0.1%).  Malyasia is marginally higher (+0.03%), as is Shanghai (+.1%).  This is the second day in a row that Tokyo has been the weakest far east market after a five day run that saw the Nikkei 225 index tack on more than 16%.
