Econintersect: Brent crude was down slightly in London Wednesday (March 23) to $115.78, but WTI (West Texas intermediate crude) was up more than 1% in New York. The NYMEX futures contract reained higher than the WTI spot price by $0.55, reflecting a sentiment for higher prices in April. In after hours trading prices have fallen. The NYMEX futures are down $0.40 while Brent crude is down $0.75. The prices at market close were:
