Some two new carbon-neutral crypto exchange-traded products (ETPs) have been unveiled on the Six Swiss Exchange, which brought the total number of crypto ETPs to 155.
On April 11, 2022, the SIX Swiss Exchange just announced that Helveteq is introducing two new cryptocurrency exchange-traded products (ETPs), Bitcoin (Bitcoin Zero / BTCO2) and Ethereum (Ether Zero / ETH2O), becoming the third cryptocurrency ETP issuer to join SIX in this year.
An ETP is described as a derivative financial instrument that trades according to assets like currencies, commodities, interest rates, and share prices. The ETH2O and BTCO2 aim to expose investors to the world’s two most valuable cryptos while offsetting their carbon footprints. They form a part of the “crypto goes carbon neutral” campaign that is led by Helveteq together with the Swiss fintech innovation lab at the University of Zurich.
The CEO of Helveteq, Christian Katz, said that it is crucial to offer carbon-neutral crypto ETPs while he was commenting on the latest listing. He added:
Buy Crypto Now“Awareness of the link between the environment and the blockchain economy is rising fast and we all must work together to find sustainable solutions. That’s why Helveteq sponsors and cooperates with the University of Zurich for research in this field, based on which we compensate the carbon footprint of our Zero ETP family.”
