Three main reasons:
- We do not have the “right” government!
- We do not have the “right” culture!
- We do not have the “right” President!

1. We do not have the “right” government
Most, if not all, of our politicians are “Me First, America Last”, as highlighted by the image below.
The President is no exception, as highlighted by the image below.

2. We do not have the “right” culture!
Without the “right” government, do not expect to have the “right” people or culture, and vice versa.
Simply put, many Americans are so “Me First, America Last” that they think everybody is a king (or queen), free to do anything and everything, including the freedom of infecting other people!

3. We do not have the “right” President!
Repeat: most, if not all, American Presidents serve, throughout their first-terms, for one paramount purpose: getting re-elected ad nauseam, with everything else being secondary!
Here is a key difference between President Trump and his predecessors: President-elect Trump was specifically warned about it (President Trump Must Be One-Term, Voluntarily!)!
Unfortunately for America, he did not listen.
Worse yet, he has been doing it (i.e. getting re-elected ad nauseam) boldly, without any pretense. Two informative readings:

In other words, President Trump has never dedicated even one single day to governing, but has spent every day in the White House on campaigning for re-election!
What, then, is the key difference between governing and campaigning?

Still wondering about his constant bashing of minorities, from Mexicans, to Muslims, to China?
Wonder not! It’s “getting re-elected ad nauseam,” stupid!
Covid-19 has put him to a real test and he has failed miserably (Top economist: US coronavirus response is like ‘third world’ country)!
America now faces a huge choice: How to strike a balance between public safety and re-opening the economy?
President Trump must not be trusted with the decision!
Why not?
His decision is driven by his re-election calendar, not America’s best interest!
4. Discussion
America, reform our failing political system, as I have suggested (American Democracy – Why is it failing & how to fix it?), or become a fiddle, second to China!
5. Closing
My fellow Americans, stay vigilant! From now on to the election day of November 3, President Trump will boldly put his self-interest above America’s, including the possibility of provoking a war with Iran (Trump orders US to ‘shoot down and destroy’ Iranian boats ‘harassing’ warships) or China (Trump Officials Are Said to Press Spies to Link Virus and Wuhan Labs)!
