Congratulations to Joe Biden for a great Super Tuesday!
For Democrats, it’s now a 3-way race to the White House: Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, and Mike Bloomberg, with Mayor Bloomberg being the power broker between Joe and Bernie.
In my last post (Bernie Sanders vs. Mike Bloomberg), I compared Bernie with Mike. In this post, I will compare Joe with Mike.

1. Who is Joe Biden?
Below is an excerpt from Wikipedia – Joe Biden.
Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (/ˌrɒbɪˈnɛt ˈbaɪdən/;[1] born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is a candidate for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.
In short, Joe is a career politician!
2. Who is Mike Bloomberg?
Below is an excerpt from Wikipedia – Michael Bloomberg.
Michael Rubens Bloomberg (born February 14, 1942) is an American businessman, politician, philanthropist, and author. He is the majority owner and co-founder of Bloomberg L.P. He was the mayor of New York City from 2002 to 2013 and is currently a candidate in the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries.
In short, Mike is a self-made man, who is now giving back as a politician!
3. Biden is the establishment candidate
It was for this reason, chiefly, that President Trump attacked him early and quick (Trump pushed Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden, transcript shows), resulting in Biden being severely damaged.
Biden’s campaign was revived recently, thanks to his huge win in the South Carolina primary. But this Ukraine thing will be revived, too, severely damaging him more and more, as his campaign advances. For example, President Trump will not only call the Bidens corrupt, but also claim the impeachment was a hoax, as his reason to investigate the Bidens was valid, thus further energizing his base!
4. Do not under-estimate President Trump!
President Trump is formidable. Two main reasons:
- He is the sitting President, with huge advantages of being an incumbent. For more, read: President Trump: Governing vs. Campaigning for 2020
- He has proven to be the best, or most effective, campaigner in America today.
The image below is worth more than 1,000 words.
Bottom line:
- Trump prefers Sanders, whom he can beat easily by pounding him as a socialist.
- Trump feared Biden most, but took care of him early and quickly. Biden is now such a hugely damaged product that Trump can eat him alive with “corruption” (e.g. in Ukraine and China)! For a warning sign, read: Senate Republicans plan first subpoena in Burisma, Biden probe.
- Mike Bloomberg is the only real threat, who can hugely chip the Presdient away in the middle …
5. Discussion
The image below is worth more than 1,000 words.
Simply put, the Democratic establishment is correct is supporting Joe over Bernie, as Joe is not as extreme on the far left as Bernie is.
However, the establishment must recognize that Joe has no chance of beating President Trump. Instead, Mike is the only viable candidate in this 3-way race!
Specifically, how can Mayor Bloomberg beat President Trump?
Easy – Here is how:
Bottom line: It takes a New Yorker to beat another New Yorker!
Now, two specific highlights in terms of Joe vs. Mike:
- Joe is a career politician. Joe is part of the problem!
- Mike is a self-made man, with an excellent track record of public service! Mike could be the solution for America: reforming our failing political system, as I have suggested (American Democracy – Why is it failing & how to fix it?).
6. Closing
Mike Bloomberg is a real (and rare) deal not only for the Democratic Party, but also for America. Let’s give him a chance!
Vote for Mike!
