Happy Chinese New Year!
In this post, I will highlight China’s BRI (Belt and Road Initiative) by showing eight videos. They were all made by an Asian-American, who was born in Myanmar and grew up in Thailand.

0. Introduction to BRI
Below is an excerpt from Wikipedia – Belt and Road Initiative.
The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is a global development strategy adopted by the Chinese government involving infrastructure development and investments in 152 countries and international organizations in Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.[1][2]

9. Discussion
The dramatic comeback of China over the past few decades has not only rocketed China’s economy to the world’s top (in terms of PPP – purchasing power parity), but also proven that China is arguably the greatest country in human history. Two facts:
- China has the longest continuous civilization in human history.
- Throughout human history, great civilizations have come and gone, with one major exception: China – come, almost gone, and come again.

The BRI is just yet another example demonstrating China’s greatness, not only in thought, but also in action, helping billions of people around the world achieve more and more prosperity, just like the Chinese have done over the past few decades.

Unfortunately, America has not reacted to China’s comeback very well.
Two informative readings:
In short, America has been trying to knock down China, Tonya Harding style!

As a Chinese-American, I am caught between a rock and a hard place. On one hand, I wish China, my native country, well – She suffered severely over the past 200 years. On the other hand, I wish America, my adopted country, well – She must stop her precipitous decline, if she ever hopes to restore her status as the shining city upon the hill. Most importantly, there must be no war, trade or otherwise, between the two largest economies in the world!
So, what do I do?
Trying to save America with my pen (or keyboard, to be more precise)!

10. Closing
With these eight videos by an Asian-American, will my message get through more widely and quickly?
What, then, is my message?
Here you go: America, reform our failing political system, as I have suggested (American Democracy – Why is it failing & how to fix it?), or become a fiddle, second to China!
