The Real China by Two Real Videos!

In America, China-bashing is a bi-partisan sport, with negative consequences to neither the politicians nor the mainstream media. As a result, most Americans are so mis-informed about China that they need to listen to a Canadian (The real China according to a Canadian) or a Brit (The real China according to a Brit) to learn about the real China.

In this post, I will include two significant videos about China. Enjoy!

The dramatic comeback of China over the past few decades has not only rocketed China’s economy to the world’s top (in terms of PPP – purchasing power parity), but also proven that China is arguably the greatest country in human history. Two facts:

1. China has the longest continuous civilization in human history.
2. Throughout human history, great civilizations have come and gone, with one major exception: China – come, almost gone, and come again.

Unfortunately, America has not reacted to China’s comeback very well.

In short, America has been trying to knock down China, Tonya Harding style!

As a Chinese-American, I am caught between a rock and a hard place. On one hand, I wish China, my native country, well – She suffered severely over the past 200 years. On the other hand, I wish America, my adopted country, well – She must stop her precipitous decline, if she ever hopes to restore her status as the shining city upon the hill. Most importantly, there must be no war, trade or otherwise, between the two largest economies in the world!

So, what do I do?

I try to save America with my pen (or keyboard, to be more precise)!

What, then, is my message?

Here you go: America, reform our failing political system, as I have suggested (American Democracy – Why is it failing & how to fix it?), or become a fiddle, second to China!
