According to polling averages calculated by Real Clear Politics, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is the new the poll leader of Democratic candidates for the 2020 presidential election, if by a very small margin. Warren overtook former Vice President Joe Biden in poll averages on Tuesday. Most recently, 26.6 percent of registered Democrats or Democratic-leaning independents said that they would vote for Warren, as opposed to 26.4 percent for Biden. While the margin is razor-thin, a clear upwards trend is visible in Warren’s polling.
