This is the second part of a Democracy Now! program covering the whistleblower Katharine Gun, a British CHHQ operative, who leaked correspondence in the weeks before the start of the 2003 Iraq invasion which almost stopped the event from happening. Extensive interview time is devoted to Gun (pictured below in 2019) and staff at The Observer who published the documents at the time.

A film was released recently in the U.S. (January at Sundance and August in theaters) which doesn’t seem to.be getting much attention. That is something that should change. This docudrama is one of the most important films of the year if not the decade. The film is titled “Official Secrets” and stars Keira Knightly, Matt Smith, Matthew Goode, and Ralph Feinnes.
