It’s time for my fellow Americans to recognize and acknowledge what Donald Trump really is: a fraud and a failure, exactly as Tom Steyer pointed out in his ad (see video at the end of this post).

Four examples as highlights:
- Gun violence: President Trump failed to protect Americans from gun violence by pointing fingers at anything but guns.
- Economy: It is basically moving along the trajectory left behind by his predecessor: a debt-driven economy.
- Foreign policy: It’s a total disaster.
- Political reforms: Nothing was done.
Let me elaborate on each …
3.1 Gun violence
Like many Republicans, Trump has been bought by the NRA, thus betraying America!
3.2 Economy
Stop being further fooled by the President, who is a pathological and contagious liar (President Trump Is a Contagious Liar!)! The economy may be doing well superficially. But it’s all at the expense of our long-term well-being as a country!
Three informative readings:
- Trump’s mismanagement of the economy is monumental.

3.3 Foreign policy
President Trump has no foreign policy per se, but a bunch of instincts, which are mostly wrong, due largely to his lack of relevant experiences prior to taking the top job in the nation. Three informative readings:

3.4 Political reforms

How do they work for themselves?
“Getting re-elected ad nauseam!”
A President running for re-election is no different. For more, read: President Trump Must Be One-Term, Voluntarily!
Unfortunately for America, instead of reforming our failing political system, as I have suggested (American Democracy – Why is it failing & how to fix it?), President Trump fell into the “fatal” trap (i.e. getting re-elected ad nauseam) fast and boldly (Donald Trump Filed for Re-election 5 Hours After He Was Sworn In to Office)! As a result, he has yet to dedicate one single day to governing, but has, instead, spent every day in the White House on campaigning for his re-election in 2020!
4. Why was Donald Trump elected President?
America is deeply in trouble. “We the People” simply do not know what to do, other than periodically casting our vote of “no confidence” to elect someone very different to be the President – first Barack Obama, then Donald Trump. Unfortunately, neither has worked out!
What’s wrong with America?
America: It’s Democracy, Stupid!
Full disclosure: I not only strongly supported candidate Trump (GOP Establishment vs. “We the people”), but also spelled out the path to historic greatness for him (President Trump Must Be One-Term, Voluntarily!). Unfortunately for America, he did not listen.
5. Why did President Trump fail?
Two main reasons:
- The American Presidency is not an entry-level job for public service.
- He has become yet another victim of our failing political system, thanks to getting re-elected ad nauseam. For more, read: Trump 2016 vs. Trump 2020.
6. What is the solution for America?
Reform our political system, as I have suggested (American Democracy – Why is it failing & how to fix it?)!
Obviously, it takes a great President to get it started, if not done!
Unfortunately for America, Donald Trump is not a great President as I had hoped for, highlighted by the image below (published in July 2017).
Even more unfortunately for America, it may take a long time before we are lucky enough to have a President marching China’s Deng Xiaoping in greatness. Meanwhile, we have no choice but keep trying.
