The couple are expected to be known as the duke and duchess of Sussex after they are married next spring. The announcement resulted in a media storm but what do people in the UK make of it?
According to a YouGov poll, most of them are actually indifferent. Among the general population, 39 percent felt pleased, 4 percent felt disappointed and 52 percent were indifferent. When it comes to age, younger people in the 18-24 bracket were more indifferent to the news while older people aged 65 and older tended to be more positive.
