The Evil Military-Industrial Complex

I had high hopes President Trump would attempt to address America’s long-standing problem with the MIC (Fixing the Military-Industrial Complex!). But my hopes are quickly vanishing. Two main reasons:

1. Like many of his recent predecessors, President Trump has proven to be nothing but traditional in dealing with the MIC: going along and getting along. For more, read: Sending No More American Troops to Afghanistan!
2. President Trump, in the coming months at least, is likely to be largely consumed by the investigation under way (Is the Trump Revolution Over?).

But still, my fellow Americans must understand the MIC and its evil nature.

Yet, President Trump recently proposed to increase our already totally out-of-control military budget by yet another outrageous 10%, while cutting everything else!

Needless to say, the mess at the Pentagon is much worse today than it was on 9/10/2001, thanks largely to the Iraq War. Two examples:

7. The MIC and our Presidents

Despite President Eisenhower’s warning against the MIC, most Presidents since then have not only refused to heed the warning, but also strongly supported the MIC.

Now, is our Presidents’ support of the military genuine and personal? No! The image below is worth more than 1,000 words.

8. What is the solution?

Reform our political system, as I have suggested (American Democracy)!

9. Closing

America is being destroyed by both Democratic Socialism and Democratic Imperialism, with the MIC contributing to both, although more to the latter than to the former. Therefore, the MIC must be fixed, in order for America to have any future.

America is desperately in need of a great peaceful transformational leader like China’s Deng. I have been counting on President Trump (Donald Trump vs. Deng Xiaoping), but it looks like we may have to wait for the next President.
