Comey poured cold water on the former but what do the American public think? According to a YouGov poll published last month, the public largely rejects Trump’s wiretap accusations. 50 percent of people say it’s false that Obama ordered wiretaps on Trump’s phones while 46 percent of people believe Obama administration officials more about the allegations.
