Econintersect: In 2010 Peter Navaro, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee to head a new White House office for trade and industrial policy, wrote a book entitled Death by China. This is the official documentary based on that book.

Peter Navarro (born July 15, 1949) is a professor of economics and public policy at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine. Navarro holds a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.[1] He has received multiple teaching awards for MBA courses he has taught.[2] Prior to teaching, Navarro served in the Peace Corps in Southeast Asia and worked in Washington, D.C. as an energy and environmental policy analyst.[3]
On December 21, 2016, Navarro was selected by President-elect Donald Trump to serve as director of the National Trade Council, a newly created position in the executive branch of the U.S. federal government.[4]
