Across the world, women are generally more religious than men and this is particularly evident among Buddhists and Christians.

In fact, there is no country where men affiliate more than women by at least two percentage points, according to Pew Research. Women are more numerous among Buddhists (54 percent), Christians (53 percent) and Jews (52 percent).
