Last month, the French authorities started to clear the controversial migrant camp in Calais, known generally as the ‘Jungle’.
As the infographic below shows, there were an estimated six thousand people living on the site when the clearance commenced. It should also be noted that many NGO’s estimate this figure to be much higher.
