At the end of 2015, ten countries hosted 56 percent of the world’s refugees, according to a report from Amnesty International.
With 2.7 million refugees, Jordan hosts the most of any nation. Turkey and Pakistan follow with 2.5 and 1.6 million respectively. The UK has taken in fewer than 8,000 Syrian refugees since the country’s civil war erupted in 2011.
