Avram Noam Chomsky, an American linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist, historian, logician, social critic, and political activist, has long expressed maveric views of history. He is Professor Emeritus at MIT. This lecture from 2012 is no exception.
This lecture was presented at some unidentified date in 2012.
Prof. Chomsky reviews a number of historical events that have subsequently been found to have been quite different from how they were portrayed at the time. He presents arguments that will be very foreign to many westerners (the Americas and Europe) but supports these arguments with facts much more than with opinion.
As you listen to this lecture pay close attention to what you hear that is documented by Prof. Chomsky but is much different from your own recollection of what was reported at the time the events occurred.
