Germany is Europe’s economic powerhouse.

However, “a substantial portion of the German workforce is burned-out or nearing it, and this is costing Germany billions of euros in lost productivity each year“, a recent poll by Gallup suggests. The results show that at least 4.1 million German workers have experienced mental or emotional stress at work.
Burn-out doesn’t just affect the individual, but comes with an actual economic price tag attached. “Burn-out costs German workplaces €9 billion ($10 billion) annually in lost productivity“, the report concludes. The below infographic shows how prevalent feeling stressed and burned-out are among the German workforce.
