Econintersect: Jim Welsh, author of the Macro Tides Investment Report, which was founded in 1988, was interviewed by CBS, Chicago on Tuesday 10 February. Jim discussed the indications from fundamental analysis that the global economy will continue to slow, led by breakdowns in emerging markets.

Jim reviewed the technical side of his analysis, saying that he believes a bear market started last summer which will ultimately bottom with the S&P 500 somewhere around 1600.
