Independent watchdog organization Freedom House analyzed 65 countries around the world to gauge online freedom.
42 of those countries required internet users or private customers to restrict online content. China comes last for internet freedom this year with content deemed politically and socially sensitive blocked. Many western internet companies including Facebook, Google and Twitter, have experienced regular bans in China.
