Currently, the obesity rate is higher than 30% in 22 U.S. states.
In 1980, no state had an obesity rate above 15%. Arkansas is actually the fattest state in America, according a report called “The State of Obesity: Better Policies for a Healthier America”. Just under 36% of its population is now considered obese.
