I am deeply concerned about the 2016 presidential election. In 2013, I published a book entitled “The GOP Bible for 2016â€. Recently, I spelled out my picks for the best 2016 GOP ticket (An Open Letter to Governor Susana Martinez). Although I think there are too many GOP candidates already, I haven’t presumed to discourage anybody from running, until today.
Mr. Trump, you should immediately drop out of the 2016 race! Two main reasons:
- You are no longer electable!
- You are now such a huge liability for the GOP that the sooner you drop out, the better for your party!
Let me elaborate on each.
1. You are no longer electable!
You are short on real ideas for America, so you have gone long on bashing other countries, such as China and Mexico! While China bashing (Donald Trump Compares China to Tom Brady) has been inconsequential to you, Mexico bashing on your campaign kick-off has severely derailed your bid, making it “Dead On Arrivalâ€!
Simply put, no GOP candidate can win the American Presidency without carrying a significant number of Hispanic votes. Unfortunately, not only have you failed to recognize this simple reality, you seem to have gone out of your way to alienate Hispanics!
By comparison, truth notwithstanding, your comment on Mexico is far worse than Mr. Romney’s comment on the 47% (Why Mitt Romney’s “47 percent†comment was so bad)! As a result, you are no longer electable! Or more politely, your casual lack of concern about the potential reaction to your comments has effectively made you unelectable!
I believe you are an honest man, as you believe yourself to be. Like you, I also hate PC – political correctness (America: What The Heck Is All This Political Correctness?). But PC matters, especially for a presidential candidate! I believe a successful GOP candidate should challenge PC, but wisely, in a carefully measured way. Unfortunately, your comment was churlish and foolhardy – totally non-presidential!
Overall, your positions on many issues are too extreme! For example, on immigration, here is a logical extension to your extreme position all the way to the other side:
Can you handle it? More importantly, can America handle it?
2. You are now a huge liability for the GOP!
Here are two recent news stories: Hispanic leaders urge GOP contenders to condemn Trump after comments and NASCAR Distances Itself from Donald Trump After Remarks.
Left-wing media bias aside, no national-level politician or political party can afford to offend Hispanics as you clearly did. As a result, all the other GOP candidates will be guilty by association, unless you withdraw from the candidate pool – the sooner, the better!
The GOP needs all the help it can get to win the American Presidency in 2016, including any help from you, but as a positive force! Dropping out of the race now can be your best gift to the GOP, and therefore America!
3. Stop fooling around with the MSM!
Stop creating a distraction in the MSM (Main-Stream Media) – Controversy-based short-term popularity in the polls has never insured success! The MSM wants you to keep running for two wrong reasons:
- You make news, as you always try to be sensational!
- The longer you stay in the race, the more you will ensure the ultimate success of its darling candidate, Hillary Clinton!
Bottom line: no poll data matters, because you cannot win the general election!
4. If you keep running …
If you keep running, you will most likely end up like Pat Buchanan in 1996! Not only did Mr. Buchanan fail to win the GOP nomination, his negative campaign (e.g. “the cultural warâ€) contributed to the GOP loss in the general election!
Please note that you must not run as an independent like Ross Perot did in 1992, which practically gave Bill Clinton the White House!
5. GOP 2016
I believe I have identified the best GOP 2016 ticket as follows:

6. Closing
I also believe I have the most accurate diagnosis for America (Diagnosis for America (Version 3), as well as the best solution (Solution for America (Version 3)).
Mr. Trump, as you can hopefully see, I have better foresight than you, while you are a far more successful businessman.
The issue at stake here is more about having the foresight to prevail than it is about business sense. So please take my advice, if you truly love America, not just yourself!
