I don’t believe America will EVER recover from the excesses of debt taken on in the hideous asset-bubble creation of the 2001-2010 Disinflation Season, a catastrophe that still smolders, as monetary policy still attempts to protect banks from the disastrous orgy of speculation that resulted in massive, still-hidden levels of insolvencies connected with Day-Cycle manifestation of GREED at all levels and ludicrous leveraging of loans at levels approaching 30-1. The West still has not dealt with this level of money-destruction that occurred in 2008, still tries to hide the truth, and mitigate the damage by attempting to monetize the debt with currency devaluation. Where are the toxic loan bets today, taken at 30-1 leverage, meaning the potential liability for such assets is at 30 while real collateral or monetary assets to cover potential losses is at 1. Some 300 trillions of dollars in unleveraged assets was in 2008 threatening to destroy America’s (and the world’s) banking system – the weapons of mass destruction apparently have been shifted over the governments of the world, in the form of Central Bank balance sheet liabilities – but the financial toxic dirty bombs HAVE NOT BEEN DEFUSED. They are apparently being stored by the Central Banks of the world, in the hope that they will not explode.
The inflation required to mitigate this Disaster of Greed will undermine and eventually destroy the American Civilization, modeled on Rome – as Rome, too, was destroyed by the specter of inflation – the unwillingness to ‘grow down’ as also to ‘grow up’. The Day-Cycle is about ‘growing up‘ – growth being the key metaphor of this image – but the Night-Cycle of rest and germination and non-growth is a requirement of rebirth and regeneration of the idea.
America’s current political obsession with constant growth in the economy is an aberration unseen in nature anywhere except in cancerous cellular tissue.
In my conjecture has any validity, working with the idea of the 72 year full cycle, American history would look something like this in terms of chronology:
**The Historical Christ appeared in the Fourth Night. The Fourth Day is the Summer Solstice of the systemic development of the Day-Cycle Anti-Christ. The Fourth Night is the Winter Solstice in the Night-Cycle counter-movement of the Soul, the Christ – so Julius Caesar appears during Rome’s Fourth Day, and Jesus Christ appears during Rom’s Fourth Night.
The Fourth Day is the apex of both the Material and the Anti-Material Development. The Fifth Day is less Material, and less Anti-Material, more comparable, in terms of its expansion, and its anti-expansion, to the Third Day: that is, the Third Day plus the material/intellectual development of the Fourth Day. Expansion of the Empire ends after the Fourth Day because the Soul is born – and the culture begins to develop its conscience, turning inward.
Note how the First and the Last Day, the First and the Seventh Day, are similar: the First is the seed as it begins climbing the Tree of Life; and the Seven is the Seed after it has fallen back to Earth, different than the seed-at-spring, but also the same.
Night-Cycles are about down-sizing, reducing, subtracting, digging holes, emptinesses, voids, vortices. Day-Cycles begin with the Monad and expand from one principle, with two parts: expand from one, to two, to three (Spirit-Soul-Mind). The Mind part of this picture (Father-Mother-Son) becomes active during the Day-Cycle and inactive during the Night-Cycle. 1-2-3 becomes 4-5-6-7 during the Day-Cycle expansion, culminating in the Day-Cycle apex (2001, most recently) and then, the Tree of Life having borne fruit (Principle 7), begins subtracting 7 to 6, 6 to 5, 5 to 4, 4 to 3, 3 back down to the Monad.
The fruit, decaying on the branch, falls back to Earth – Civilization falls into ruin, the created, organic form, decaying and falling back to Earth.
The Monad is the seed that gestates in the Darkness; is buried in the Earth in the Winter because it need to nourish its root-system in the Earth. As I have written, the seed needs darkness in order to successfully germinate.
The monetary guardians of the world – who believe it is their duty to manufacture false light by burning up all our money in hopes of reversing the natural process of growth-followed-by-decay-and-decline – do not understand that the next crop of seeds and the next development and the next growing season is dependent upon the darkness.
We are the Tree of Life. We are the seed buried in the Earth and we are the Seed of Life budding and growing in both directions, up and down, when the Sun begins calling up back to life, after a long period of darkness and rest and de-materialization and destruction of unnecessary dead matter. And we are the root-system which begins to develop first, and which is the foundation of our manifestation; and we are the green shoots emerging from the Earth after deconstruction has been concluded and we are the flowering and the trunk system and the branches and the leaves and the growth and the secondary flowering of the fruit-buds at the top of the tree and we are the nascent fruit and then the proud independent fruit, the ego-objects that are the culmination of the entire effort of creation; we are the prize fruit that makes the world happy and rich and full; and we are also the fruit that is not harvested because the society is lazy and/or no longer hungry; and we decay at the top of the tree, losing our beauty, becoming disgusting, ugly, greedy, fearful, fearing death. We will do anything to reverse time, to make the growing season last for ever – because the Growing Season made us rich and the non-Growing Season is going to make us poor and hungry and depressed and fearful and weak and small – our egos returning back to the size of tiny seeds, our true nature, even when surrounded by huge, powerful, muscled, magnificent bodies – those bodies never last – we begin shedding them as soon as they decay and trap us and try to suffocate our true nature, the small, beautiful, efficient, monadic eternal nature. We are the rotting fruit at the top of the tree, afraid that we are going to fall. And then we do fall. And the fall kills us, hurts us, cripples us, damages our bodies for ever. So we work during the storms of late Autumn to climb out of our corrupt, crippled bodies, that are dying. And we do eventually escape these alien, corrupt, selfish, damaged, bitter, dense, cancerous bodies. The seed – the real us – the Monad – is eventually freed from its organic burden. The seed is vulnerable – we are vulnerable. Everything wants to eat us, destroy us; the wind blows us; rain pulverizes us; we seek to bury ourselves in the Earth to protect us from the war of elements raging around us. When we do manage to bury ourselves, we sleep. We rest. We dream. We germinate.
We are the Tree of Life.
And there is no end. Death is an illusion.
