FiveThirtyEight put an interesting ranking together to calculate the countries with the highest daily density of tourists. Somewhat unsurprisingly, the Vatican City grabs top spot, considering its tiny population and massive influx of visitors. Andorra, perched high in the Pyrenees between France and Spain, comes second. On a given day, the estimated number of tourists there is around 34,000 – 30 percent of the total people in the country.
This chart shows estimated international tourists as a share of total people on an average day.
