In France, immigration has become a significant issue.
However, the country’s large number of emigrants throughout the globe is often forgotten as issues surrounding immigration are hotly debated at home. Today, France has one of the largest emigrant populations in the world, numbering about 2 million people spread across 83 countries. Statista prepared the following map using data from the Pew Research Center which was published by partner magazine Capital.
