Econintersect: Niche has ranked 14,431 U.S. high schools for overall quality based on student and parent opinion surveys. Looking at just the top 25 some amazing results pop out: 22 of the top 25 ranked high schools come from just 5 states: Illinois (7) and four each from California, New York and Texas. New Jersey has three on the list. The other three in the top 25 come from Georgia, Michigan and Virginia. Only two more states join the top eight in the second 25 (Florida and Pennsylvania). Twelve more states appear in the top 100. There are 28 states plus the District of Columbia not making the top 100 high school list.
