David Stockman, former Reagan Administration Budget Director and best selling author of The Great Deformation: The Corruption of Capitalism in America, has started a new website, David Stockman’s Contra Corner. The site opened officially this morning after being in a beta testing version since March 2. Mr. Stockman conceived of the new website as “a place where mainstream delusions and cant about the Warfare State, the Bailout State, Bubble Finance and Beltway Banditry are ripped, refuted and rebuked.”
Mr. Stockman posted two major articles to kick off the opening of the site.

In addition to featuring Mr. Stockman’s regular comments on the economy, finance, politics, and world affairs, the site also features the work of leading economic and political contrarian bloggers, including the Wall Street Examiner’s Lee Adler in a section known as the Contra Club. Other features of the site are in various stages of development.
The new website was developed by Lee Adler, publisher based on Mr. Stockman’s concepts. Adler will continue to assist Mr. Stockman with operating the website. In addition to covering Mr. Stockman’s views on current news and economic developments, the site will feature the work of well known contrarian thinkers on a daily basis. The site also features a bookstore including David Stockman’s books such as The Great Deformation, and other books which he recommends. It will also offer a free daily email digest to subscribers.
