- Study: Vt. Should Allow VEDA to Be State Bank (Warren Johnston, Valley News) Hat tip to Public Banking Institute. The proposal is that the Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) should be chartered to function as a state bank. To do so would add thousands of jobs in the state, save the state millions of dolars in interest costs and grow the state’s economy by hundreds of millions of dollars. Link to the study report.
