Econintersect: Charles Schwab, appearing at a interview conducted by Barron’s editor Jack Otter earlier this month, announced an investor guarantee program for Schwab’s managed accounts. Schwab called the guarantee one of over all satisfaction, but not one that guarantees performance of the account. The guarantee: If an investor is not satisfied with the transparency, accountability and process of the Schwab service in any quarter the fee paid for that quarter will be refunded.
