The cost of a Thanksgiving dinner has decreased for the first time in three years acording to a survey made by the American Farm Bureau Federation. They say shoppers can expect to pay about $49.48 for a meal feeding 10 people.
The price of menu items increased less than 1 percent overall in 2012
Many stores are already ‘stuffed’ with specials for the early bird shoppers. When the American Farm Bureau Federation began the survey in 1986, a Thanksgiving dinner for 10 cost $28.74. According to experts quoted on Dial Global, “this year, turkey, pie, cranberry, and all the trimmings are down an average of 44 cents since 2012!”
