Econintersect: An article posted by Yahoo! News reports that the current sunspot cycle is well below the average seen in the last 250 years for the cycles which average about 11 years in length. The number of sunspots counted in the first five years of the current cycle is less than half the average of the last twenty or more cycles. It is the weakest cycle since the start of the space age 50 years ago.
Econintersect has received an analysis of the phenomenon from a famous economist, Prof. Empiricali Locotush, who spends one day a week at each Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Corpus Christi Community College and Trump National Golf Course.
Quoting the communication from Prof. Locotush:
“The decline in the solar sunspot activity in this cycle coincides with a pause in the global warming trend of the past century. This correlation is significant. Because the global warming pause was reported earlier than the sunspot phenomenon, there is a clear time arrow indicating a cause and effect relationship.
“The sequence of reporting clearly indicates that the slowing of global warming has produced a negative energy effect on the surface of the sun resulting in the lowered sunspot counts.”
Who said that climate science was difficult. Even an economist can do it.
