Econintersect: Dr. Richard Horowitz has practiced medicine in Dutchess County New York for more than 20 years. He did not know when he set up practice there that he was in the epicenter of a Lyme disease epidemic. Since then he has treated more than 12,000 patients with Lyme disease. Editorial notes:
- This editor lived in Dutchess County for most of 47 years, ws diagnosed with Lyme disease in 1989 and has been treated for Lyme disease symptoms several times (but never by Dr. Horowitz). I have had a client who was a patient of Dr. Horowitz and have heard accounts of his thorough care of Lyme disease from that individual.
