Econintersect: A new (at least to us) phishing scam has just been received. It had as a subject line: “Re: ALERT CONFIRMATION™ 2013”. The notice refers to an overflow of storage for an email account (account not specified) and that the recipient must supply personal and account information to “avoid immediate closure“. Microsoft has a page at their Safety & Security Center which provides information about how to recognize phishing scams and what action should be taken if one is received. A non-profit resource center is available at idtheftcenter.org.
