Econintersect: All ten market indexes in the Americas followed by GEI advanced for the week ending 4/1/2011. The MerVal index in Argentina led the way with an advance of 3.7%, while the Dow Transportation index also gained more than 3%. Mexico was up 2.7%. The weakest index was the TSX Composite in Toronto (+0.6%). All results for the week and year-to-date:
