Econintersect: Asia Pacific stock markets have major losses in midday trading Tuesday, March 15. Tokyo leads the parade with losses for the Nikkei 225 index exceeding 10%. Hong Kong is down 3.8% and Taiwan has declined 3.6%.Other large declines are Shanghai and Singapore, down 2.9% each, as well as Sydney (-2.4%) and Jakarta (-2.3%). The strongest of the major far east markets in Malaysia, down “only” 1.3%.
