Econintersect: Monday (February 28) saw all European bourses except London register gains to start the week. Four of the ten major markets advanced by 1% or more: Frankfurt (+1.2%), Stockholm and Geneva (both +1.1%) and Paris (+1%).London declined, but just barely, closing 0.1% lower. Oil prices eased, which contributed to the rally, as stocks mounted an attempt to regain last week’s losses. Monday saw stocks also advance in New York and the Far East.
