Econintersect: Rail traffic for w/e 25 December expanded sharply viewing the data YoY. Early in 2010, rail’s performance YoY was growing. It stabilized in the middle of the 2Q – and early in the 4th quarter began trending down. This week the data expanded. YoY growth increased sharply this week from approximately 2.2% to 27.6%. Four week rolling average growth increased from 7.6% to 11.7%.
