Across developed nations, immigrant and foreign-trained doctors account for a large share of healthcare professionals.
In the United States, a quarter of all doctors are foreign-trained, according to an OECD survey. Israel has the most foreign-trained doctors by far – they make up 58 percent the country’s physicians.
