You are going to keep paying for freedom, your concept of American Freedom, the American Brand.
Matter of fact you are going to now be paying more for your freedom, and by the way, we are going to narrow down the definition of freedom with some new carefully worded phrases. There is no contract for you to refer to. It works out better without a contract. That is why we are getting away from the US Constitution. But through our American Institutions we will be crafting the words and definition of freedom… this will be to benefit the people of course. I mean, since we are a government of the people, it follows that we are always working for the people’s best interest.
Anyway, everyone has to work in America, and prices go up. Those are just the facts of life. People who don’t work are just the few that are being left behind. It is inevitable that we will trim social security, food stamps, and Medicare/Medicaid. We have to as prices go up and we get more people claiming benefits. It is true that people have paid into these programs all their lives, but these are social programs and hand outs that we can’t afford. We have better uses for our money than returning some of it for brnrfits which you paid for.
So, you live in the best country in the world with the best medical care, medical research, best chance to get rich and live the American Dream, best place to find property, best standard of living… but you have to pay for it. Some people pay by going into the military. But most of us just have to pay more and work harder. However, it you are tough and smart you will make money in America. For instance we still have a lot of service jobs in roads, bridges, civil projects, construction of houses, landscaping, lawn care, public works, utilities, line men, port workers, container handlers, and warehousing & distribution. Nothing wrong with that. Everyone has to pay their dues, right??
Now don’t think you are going to get union benefits and fancy retirements… not everyone gets those. Worker benefits are very expensive and have made the USA an expensive place to do business. So we are phasing out and cutting all retirement… Really retirements and pensions are just a financial scheme put together by some insurance people, but it doesn’t work out. Neither does social security.
So, yes you are going to pay more for your freedom to be perfectly honest with you. But this is America. It is the Greatest Country in the World, the Seat of Democracy and Greatness. Everyone has to serve and do their part for Freedom.
