Public-Sector Unions: from Wisconsin to America …

walker-newspaper-headlineOn June 5th, in what was called “the second most important election this year”, the people of Wisconsin spoke out loud and clear: keep Governor Scott Walker (pictured left) in office!

What did Governor Walker do to deserve such a recall attempt? He offended the unions by curbing the rights of the public-sector unions! It was the right thing to do, not only for Wisconsin but also for America! For more, read: The whine from Wisconsin.

Unfortunately, such a clear-cut issue is not clear at all in America today, thanks to decades of practice of democratic socialism and brainwashing. Here is a good example: a publication (High stakes for Big Labor in Wisconsin recall vote) muddles the water from the title to the contents! Two notes:

(1) The private-sector workers can be correctly called “the laborers”. But the public-sector workers should not – They are the proud public “servants”!

(2) The unions should exist to protect the laborers, not to create a protected class of public employees who earn more and have vastly better benefits than their employers, the laborers!

  • For the private sector, unions are valid. I believe everything will work out by itself. For example, when the UAW became too big, it nearly killed the U.S. auto industry. Some correction has occurred, although the UAW is still too big today, in my opinion.
  • For the public sector, unions are not valid. Who are they unionized against? The laborers! More bluntly, the public-sector unions are more than socialistic – they are “totally communistic and must therefore go!” For more, read: American Democracy: What Went Wrong and When?

Here is an excerpt from a Letter from FDR Regarding Public-Sector Unions dated August 16, 1937:

All Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service. It has its distinct and insurmountable limitations when applied to public personnel management.

fdrThe very nature and purposes of Government make it impossible for administrative officials to represent fully or to bind the employer in mutual discussions with Government employee organizations.

Particularly, I want to emphasize my conviction that militant tactics have no place in the functions of any organization of Government employees.

A strike of public employees manifests nothing less than an intent on their part to prevent or obstruct the operations of Government until their demands are satisfied. Such action, looking toward the paralysis of Government by those who have sworn to support it, is unthinkable and intolerable.

Kennedy-JFK

When and how did the public-sector unions, “the “unthinkable and intolerable“, start in the U.S.? In 1961, thanks to President Kennedy (Executive Order 10988)!

Why did President Kennedy perpetrate such a communistic thing on America? For the sake of his re-election, most likely (10-Point Democracy Manifesto)!

Once again, an American President, be he President Kennedy or President Obama, served/serves, throughout his first term, for no purpose other than his own re-election, at all costs! For more, read: The American Presidency: Let’s Redefine It, Now!

    Tolerable no more!

What Governor Walker did was significant: It was a small step to undo the devastating damage caused by President Kennedy, but a gigantic step against the demise of America (Diagnosis for America: Cancer!)!

Two messages out of Wisconsin are loud and clear:

    1. Wisconsin is not like France or Greece, which recently elected “socialists to fix the problems caused by socialism” (Ideology: Yet Another Similarity between Communism and Democracy).
    2. Democracy worked in this case!

Governor Walker, keep up the good work to save Wisconsin! It was a good start! Yes, divide and conquer, until they are all gone!

Governor Romney, heed my advice to win the most important election this year, in order to save America (An Open Letter to Mitt Romney)!
