      • A Silk Glove for China’s Iron Fist Read (Project Syndicate)  China’s campaign to create a 21st maritime Silk Road to improve trade and cultural exchange is a disguised attempt to redraw Asia’s geopolitical map.
      • Avoiding China’s debt downfall (China Spectator)  China is offering municipalities a large scale swap plan to assume ownership of local government debt.  This week a plan to move one trillion yuan (about $160 billion) into low interest federal government municipal bonds.  Econintersect:  Sounds like a unique form of QE to us.  But see next article.
