Econintersect: Vinton Gray Cerf is recognized as one of the fathers of the internet. From his early days at DARPA and Stanford University right up to his current days with Google, Cerf has been asscoiated with the definition of the TCP/IP protocol for internet communications, the development of the first email system connected through the internet (MCI Mail) and more recently with a new protocol to enable interet operations over interplanetary distances.
