Econintersect: According to NBC News, major U.S. bank websites have been offline a total of 249 hours in the past six weeks. The data for 15 large U.S. banks was obtained by the website performance monitor Keynote. This was almost double the loss of service hours from the same period a year earlier. The data from Keynote indicates that the most severe service outages in 2013 have been experienced by Regions Bank (NYSE:RF) and SunTrust (NYSE:STI). These outages have also impacted many of 토토사이트 operating in the country.
The third and fourth most outages were experienced in 2013 by Citizens Bank and Capital One Bank (NYSE:COF).
In the last four months of 2012 the hardest hit banks were TD Bank and US Bank, followed by Bank of America (NYSE:BAC).

As bothersome as the DoS interruptions are, the impact of hardware problems, such as the undersea cable damage events that have happened in 2013 are much more serious and costly in terms of lost internet usage, according to Matthew J. Schwartz of Information Week.
